Dr Vivien Newman links Covid to WW1 poetry

Dr Vivien Newman, who, as I am sure you all know, has written some wonderful books about the women of WW1, sent me links to a project she is working on, drawing comparisons with WW1 [women] and COVID and has kindly given me permission to share them with you. Funnily enough, I began thinking of those comparisons myself as I've just finished reading "The Daily Telegraph Dictionayr of Tommies' Songs and Slang 1914-1918".
